单导电层技术为触摸屏生产带来光明前景

QField技术采用了ITO单导电层,因此无需面板开口、密封圈和盖板,可显著提高触摸屏生产的成本效益。

传统电阻触摸屏通常需要使用者施加物理压力,使两个铟锡氧化物(ITO)导电层互相接触,才能运作。尽管这种技术不甚坚固,但由于成本低廉而得到了广泛应用。Quantum Research Group有限公司(英国汉普郡,Hamble; www.qprox.com)新研发了单导电层技术,据称可以减少磨损,改善亮度和对比度,而且成本与传统触摸屏相当。

QField触摸屏采用该公司专利电荷转移感应技术,可为传感电极(即ITO层)充电,然后将电荷转移到固定电容器组成的探测器。电荷转移采集通过MOSFET晶体管微处理器控制开关以脉冲模式进行。使用者手指产生的外部电容影响电荷流动,从而产生感应效果。它采用扩频感应技术(spread spectrum sensing)减少射频辐射和干扰,进而降低能耗。

由于ITO层可直接涂印在触摸面板下层,因此该技术无需面板开口、密封圈和盖板,非常适合用来制造需要表面密封且易清洗的医疗器械。此外,单导电层较薄,显示屏的透明度增加,从而改善了光透射,而且由于所需背光较少,耗能也随之降低。据公司介绍,QField产品将淘汰多数4英寸电阻式触摸屏,且未来有望在10inch触摸屏领域取得重大进展。

QField触摸屏的厚度仅为3mm,适用于柔性和弧形表面。同时,该公司还将推出一系列集成电路,可使QField产品应用于各种设备。产品特点包括:x-y坐标输出、防护手套操作、256 256像素分辨率、20ms响应时间以及低功耗模式微安电流消耗。此外还可以创建不透明物任意位置的x-y坐标报告,配有电容式触摸袖珍键盘。众多控制性能都可集成于一块低成本的单面印刷电路板,粘贴在塑料或玻璃触摸屏面板的背面。
