非接触性系统可准确测量医用导管和球囊厚度

Lumetrics公司生产的OptiGauge非接触式光学测量仪器,精度可达0.1m。
新型的非破坏性光学设备只靠机器就能准确测量透明或半透明材质的厚度。Lumetrics公司(美国纽约州,Rochester)生产的OptiGauge系统可以分别测量出导管壁或球囊壁的厚度,并对半透明材质单层或多层表面成分进行详细分析。

目前常用的医用导管测量法是用针规测量内径。据公司表示,这种方法的缺点在于其破坏性,而且其测量精度取决于操作者。对血管成形球囊的测量也同样受到物理测试的限制。一般的方法是将球囊在千分尺内压碎,将测得的厚度除以2,得到单层囊壁的厚度,但无法区分是否有一侧囊壁过薄或过厚。

OptiGauge的精度达到0.1m,可测量厚度达8mm的实心材料或直径达10mm的导管,适用于生产线产品的检测或实验室内的质量控制。此外,OptiGauge系统最多同时支持8个探针,探针之间可相隔达1000米。最终数据将被整合为质量控制数据库,并与预期的尺寸比较,实时得出通过或失败的结果。

设备的原理是一项由伊斯曼柯达公司开发的专利技术:系统通过一个LED灯发出红外线光束,照射到透明或半透明的材质上。光线反射后,一台安装有专利软件的个人计算机会立即对其进行分析。若评估目标是多层的,从每一层反射回的光线都将被单独分析,以决定各自的厚度。然后,高级处理演算系统会以图形用户界面显示每层宽度。
